Hello, I’m Ysel Rosales

Since 2012, I have worked in the tourism sector, starting my career in the hotel industry in Lima. In 2014, I took a big leap and moved to Puerto Maldonado to work at a lodge. Later, in 2017, I joined the Rainforest Expeditions family in the Operations department, and since 2022, I have been part of the Reservations team. This journey has been incredibly enriching for my professional growth.

 

Almost 10 years ago, I discovered the Tambopata rainforest—a life-changing experience that marked the beginning of my ecotourism career. What I am most passionate about is helping guests enjoy an unforgettable adventure in the rainforest while contributing to nature conservation. At Rainforest Expeditions, everything is designed to inspire and nurture a love for conservation.

 

Working with travel agencies is a great opportunity to share my personal experiences, both as a traveler and from the various roles I have held. I enjoy motivating them to explore Rainforest Expeditions and providing clear information and tips to maximize their clients’ experiences.

 

The Amazon rainforest inspires me with its incredible biodiversity and natural beauty. There’s a unique connection with nature here: feeling the energy all around you and hearing the symphony of sounds from so many species together is simply awe-inspiring.

 

Traveling and discovering new destinations is one of my greatest pleasures, and I love sharing those adventures with my family and friends whenever I can. I was born in Lima, but my roots are in Pasco and Yauyos, where my parents come from. Since childhood, our annual trips around Peru sparked my love for tourism—a passion that continues to grow.
