Jannet Benavides Fallaque

Hi, I'm Jannet Benavides Fallaque. Since childhood, I dreamed of dedicating my life to caring for nature, but over time, I realized that conservation is only possible if we address poverty, inequality, and sustainable development. I discovered that businesses can be agents of change and that, when they operate responsibly, they generate positive impacts on their surroundings. This conviction led me to specialize in sustainability and to lead projects that integrate development and conservation.  

With more than 25 years of experience in project management, I have worked on initiatives that have benefited thousands of families and contributed to the conservation of vast forest areas. From the Interoceanic South Initiative to the Business Alliance for the Amazon, I have promoted strategic partnerships to strengthen local economies and climate resilience. Currently, at Rainforest Expeditions, I drive research and ecotourism as key tools for conservation.  

I believe in the power of partnerships and community participation to achieve real impact. Seeing women gain access to education and economic opportunities has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. Outside of my professional life, I connect with nature through hiking, meditation, and writing, always with the goal of continuing to contribute to a more sustainable future for the Amazon.
